Переглядів 463 тис.7 місяців тому
On 10 November 2023, the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider took off from Palmdale AF Plant 42. Bearing call sign RAIDER 01 with RAIDER 03 F-16D as chase, it flew to Edwards AFB after a short test flight. A few hours later, B-2A Spirit LEHI 23 departed for an FCF in the high desert. Very cool to see both stealth flying wings in the AV area where they are proudly made.

Here you’ll see it arrive and depart in classic old school Gulfstream fashion with @FlyWithOwen at the controls! The beautiful sound it makes to let the people on the ground know… clear the skies!
That start-up sound of the F-4... love it!
In 1966 I entered the USAF and was on the crew at Hamilton AFB California and assigned to crew C-121A 8608. Loved that aircraft!!!! Loved the way one main gear would fall out upon retraction but always made into the wheel well.
It looks like an Intergalactic Lawnmower Blade (ILB)
Terrific! Never expected to see this baby 9 fly again.
Nothing but the sound of those 3350s. No music! Thank you!
I have some faint memories of seeing this beauty at the legacy Frankfurt airport in the mid Sixties along with other beauties like the Lockheed electra, just before the jet-age set in.
Fantastic ❤
This is like the best advertising for SpaceX I could imagine! Another one tonight, 6-23-2024.
Fort Zancudo approved
I love the sound of those engines.
Wonderful with logo light on ! Nice vídeo. Thank you. Regards from Brazil.
What’s really going on? I’m confused because it sure looked like two ufos trailing behind
I see one of this last night cross above downtown LA 6/18/24 Amazing
The Connie was beautiful. Miles ahead of its time. Howard Hughes really knew what he wanted.
USA👍💪
Air Force fighter planes ❤
It sounds like a good flight plan when you do NOT have to start all four engines while in the air. She's certainly a beauty with her proud tail.
Are we there yet? yes!
Great plane ever
I Miss my TF-39 into engine C-5 Galaxy
Operational capacity?
Hilal gel dedi de kendi gelmiyor sik Akdeniz i
Gorgeous. But why do aircraft engines sound so dreadful on startup?
I agree!! The most beautiful hands down
She looks amazing and sounds amazing ..
I am told this particular example was the personal plane for Gen. Douglas MacArthur during the Korean War. I'll bet he flew home on it after being dismissed by President Truman.
So how many Super Cons are airworthy now ? When I was a wee lad in the 1950's these planes, as EC-121 or maybe it was RC-121 radar planes with the hump back and swollen belly (radar antenna housings), took off and landed at least twice a day from nearby McClellan AFB near Sacramento, California. We could hear them warming up at dawn and spot them flying low overhead on approach later in the day. My dad worked at McClellan in the F-100 division. Saw plenty of them roaring overhead, too.
Back in the 1960s, Selfridge Air National Guard base was about 10 miles away from where I grew up. The flew F106 as part of NORAD. They would fly super sonic and go boom boom, causing my mom have to rearrange all her little knickknacks in the China cabinet. And then they stop going supersonic, so no more boom boom. The next time I heard and saw two F106 go not just super sonic, but double super sonic in 1971 when my family along with a retired Lt. Colonel Air Force F4 pilot, when we all witnessed some kind of weird aerial phenomena over the Canadian side of the Lake Saint Clair. Selfridge dispatched two F106 that hauled ass full after burner the whole time to try and chase down some thing that was not of this Earth. I remember the Lt. Colonel looking at the phenomena and stating to my dad, "That is definitely not anything human made." The last time I heard a sonic boom, was three or four days after 9/11 2001, when 2 F15 flying BARCAP over the Chicago area when they raced to intercept an airliner out of Chicago O'Hare because of a disruptive passenger on board. That one's scared the crap out of us, thinking it was another suicide attack.
Sad that these magnificent aircraft ended up as targets on a range, instead of being preserved for posterity.
My mom was a stewardess on the Connie for Eastern. Her favorite along with the Electra
The Connie looks amazing-at any age.
Long live the F-4 Phantom!
This is the slowest rocket ever seen and weird part is it’s going horizontal and it changed colors it like 2 different videos put them together. Normally it only takes about 4 minutes to be out of orbit And you won’t see it no more. This one was over 6 minutes you can still see it. 😮
With that shark mouth the jet looks like beavis
Beautiful Aircraft !
Awesome.
Most beautiful aircraft ever created bar none!
My Dad was an FE on many connies. One on the things that the engineer did was to climb up on the wings to dip the fuel tanks. The idea was that you actually measured how much fuel was on board. Seeing this clip reminds me of that. Thank you for rekindling that memory.
Thank god for all the youtube experts in the comments, without their input I’m sure Skydive Perris would be unable to even fly!
How does getting clearance work for fighters? I know they set up airspace training zones but what if they get transported? Do they talk to atc for an ifr flight plan like the rest of us?
Absolutely AWESOME!!
Smooth😅
One of two of my most favorite designed airplanes. B1B and this beautiful piece of design.
Need the dangerzone music adding on ❤😊
The same exact 707 omega tanker lands here at Mather Field AFB for me it’s pretty common I see it fly pretty low
The most beautiful plane ❤😢
Pretty hard on that old plane. I sure hope everybody stays safe on her.
I watched a 1950 promotional video on passenger flying and many of the airlines used these planes. They had an incredible safety record.
4:51 fantastic short field performance. I have seen similar with one of ten DC9-21 hot rod😅 with SAS colors rented by TAT for summer season in south of France,.....1982😮
